Description
5* Game Lodge close to Hoedspruit is looking for an Assistant Lodge Manager. The Assistant Lodge Manager is responsible for the overall management of all operational facets of the lodge. This involves the management of the Heads of Department and the responsibilities they cover. You should be financially astute, whilst having a solid balance of Rooms Division and F&B skills.


Responsibility include:

  • Meticulous in all aspects of managing the lodge
  • Managing, Overseeing and Disciplining Staff
  • Staff training and development
  • Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
  • Hosting Duties
  • Allocation of Airport Transfers
  • Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
  • Acting as relief general manager between lodges

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a Big 5 Reserve and 5* Lodge is necessary
  • ResRequest experience will be beneficial
  • Valid RSA Driver's License
  • Exceptional Guest Relations skills
  • Ability to manage staff
  • Understanding and ability to manage the different departments
  • Ability to plan ahead and problem solve
  • Financial experience in budget control, stock takes and stock control
