Annually Cost To Company (Market related)


A large privately owned insurance group providing short -term and life insurance is looking to appoint an Senior Actuarial Specialist.


Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills:


  • Minimum of 3 to 7 years' short term insurance experience.
  • Shortterm technical pricing experience would be an advantage.
  • SAM knowledge & Reinsurance experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Statistical software experience would be an advantage
  • R, Python, Emblem etc.


  • Data manipulation

  • SQL, SAS, Advanced Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in supervising technical staff on projects is advantageous but not essential.

Educational Requirements:


  • Matric
  • Completed CT's (or Alevels) and CA1
