Head of Sales - Midrand, South Africa - Data Centrix
Description
Responsibilities:
- Defines and ensures implementation of sales strategy, organization, policies and guidelines, in line with the overall business strategy of the assigned organizational unit.
- Ensures accomplishment of strategic market research and key customer surveys to identify respective strategic business opportunities.
- Defines key markets respectively identification and exploitation of key customers
- Drives and monitors key market development programs.
- Ensures effective sales setup capitalizing synergies in collaboration within and across company units (i.e. aligned setups, aligned processes, aligned incentive schemes, etc.)
- Ensures an effective sales organization and infrastructure to foster cooperation with other parts of the value chain (i.e. Marketing & Communication, Product Management, etc.)
- Responsible for the Sales planning, Target Setting and Target Achievement
- Acts as ultimate point of escalation to solve mission critical issues and problems.
- Heads overall assigned sales organization and leads all related management and staff.
- Lead the team of various sales channels such as Vertical Sales and Area Sales while providing coaching/mentoring support and cementing a growth mindset
- Steering the entire sales organizing through CRM Tools
- Responsible for all Sales and for driving the Sales Strategy of South Africa as well as Sub Saharan African.
- Steering of the Partner Network
- Ensures successful driving and implementation of Sales Strategy respective go to market for company
- Ensures successful implementation of BU specific go to market & sales strategies cross selling
Qualification criteria:
- A minimum of 10 years experience across different (Automotive; Food and Beverage; Manufacturing) Industries is required
- University Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering, automation, computer engineering or equivalent work experience (Advantageous)
- Demonstratable (Extensive) Sales experience is prerequisite
- Extensive Management experience in leading team of diverse teams, disciplinary and functionally.
- Demonstratable experience in Partner Management
Knowledge in company automation and drives products portfolio is mandatory

- Good understanding of future trends like Industries 4.0 principles/ Digitalization.
- Should be proficient in English (verbal & written).
- Must be prepared to travel both nationally and internationally.
