Introduction

VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd is one of four subsidiaries of VKB Agri Processors (Pty) Ltd, the agri-processing division of the VKB Group.

VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd operates white maize mills in Mokopane and Louis Trichardt in Limpopo, and Mashishing in Mpumalanga, as well as a wheat mill and bakery in Frankfort in the Free State.

To ensure all electrical projects, initiatives and processes are in conformance with VKB Milling' established policies and objectives. Plans and directs all aspects of electrical activities within the organization, including but not limited to m_anaging and ensuring the scheduling, installation, repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment and instruments.

Job Requirements.

Grade 12 / NQF 4 Equivalent.
Qualified Electrician or Millwright.
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering.
Computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word).
7 years' FMCG experience with repairs and various maintenance processes of which 2 must be at management level.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintenance and scheduling of preventative maintenance on all machinery.
Methodical root cause analysis and resolving noncompliance in parts performance.
Develop needed infrastructure to ensure electrical engineering competency.
Handle engineering tools and upgrades.
Overhead inspections on startup, scheduled maintenance and breakdowns.
Control and reduce usage of power and overtime worked.
Ensure the availability of electrical stock for machinery and critical components.
Ensure electrical drawings are available for all electrical equipment.
Ensure Electrical installations adhere to SANS 1014
Inform technical staff about division and engineering goals and business performance.
Review electrical engineering staff performance periodically.
Always adhere to the 20 Keys principle.
Strict adherence to budget control and cost saving.
Assist in the development and discipline of personnel.
Must be a handson person.
