Responsibilities
***- The employee shall be responsible for the performance of the duties as shall from time to time be assigned to him including, _inter alia,_ those duties set out below:
  • Drive company short, medium and long term financial planning
  • Perform risk management by analysing the employer's liabilities and investments
  • Control and evaluate the employer's funds and capital structure
  • Ensure cashflow is appropriate for the employers operations
  • Supervise trading personal and support staff:
  • Ensure new and existing trade contracts are profitable by analysing finance, logistic and stock costs against margin.
  • Ensure individual traders are reflecting accurate PNLs
  • Plan each divisions cashflows appropriately to ensure the best running of the Employer's business.
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
  • Oversee the Employer's finance IT system (XERO) and ensure it is kept up to date and correct
  • Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies
  • Manage relationship with Investec Bank:
  • Manage borrowing base submissions weekly
  • Manage monthly reporting required by Investec and liase with them directly on their required documentation
  • Ensure relationships with Employer's bankers are in good standing
  • Manage Employer's bank accounts
  • Run and execute payroll on a monthly basis.
  • Manage relationship and submissions with SARS on PAYE and VAT
  • Ensure timeous payments of VAT and PAYE
  • VAT submission on a monthly basis including VAT claims where moneys are due back to the Employer from SARS
  • Ensure corporate tax compliance
  • FEC Hedging and foreign currency management
  • Manage and execute FEC Hedges
  • Manage incoming and outgoing foreign currency payments to the Employer's best interests
  • Weekly debtor and creditor reporting
  • Reporting on overdue, current and future debtors
  • Collections on overdue and current accounts
  • Ensure timeous payment of creditors
  • PNL reporting to the CEO on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings
  • Management of subsidiary company bank accounts and online trading systems (xero)
  • Management of payments and contracts between the Employer and it's subsidiary companies

Requirements:


  • Chartered Accountant CA(SA)
  • Experience with financial institutions
  • Experience on XERO
  • Strong financial management experience
