Industry Manager:
Home and Personal Care

IMCD South Africa is looking for an experienced Industry Manager who will play a crucial role in our ambition to become more technically insights driven and market / consumer, trends / customer focused.

The industry manager will be based at the IMCD Randburg Office, reporting into the Sales Manager:
HPC.

Person Profile:
Targeted Skills & Capabilities

The ideal person will have:

A relevant scientific qualification, and
Between years relevant sales experience.
Experience in Home and Personal Care will be beneficial.
Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements in these industries.
Indepth knowledge of functional raw materials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Be resilient, and able to multitask and work under pressure.
Be solutionfocused.
Have high independence and selfmotivation.
Be a team player supporting colleagues when needed and working as part of a team is essential to our success.
Be highly numerate giving quotes, placing orders, preparing reports or working with spreadsheets. Being able to spot discrepancies, working with percentages and in general be comfortable working with numbers.
Be computer literate
Experience in a multinational company on operational level will be an advantage.
Enjoy travel

The position is responsible for:

Distribution of raw materials into the Personal Care and Home and Industrial and Institutional Cleaning segments.
Maintaining the existing customer base, as well as identifying new opportunities.
Development and expansion of product segments with strategic importance.
Creation and submission of offers, including price responsibility.
Independent processing of customer inquiries including complaints.
Technical advice to customers on the development of formulations, including appropriate sampling.
Report maintenance and documentation in the CRM system (SalesForce)
Responsibility for budget and requirements planning
Collaboration and participation in trade fairs and customer seminars as sales promotion measures.
Develop Personal Care / Home Care and Industrial and Institutional Cleaning markets in neighboring African countries
Stock Management: Working closely with the Business Unit Managers to ensure an optimal stock holding

Expected Qualification/Education:

Degree in one of the sciences. An additional business degree would be an advantage but not essential.

Work Experience:

Between 6 and 10 years proven sales experience

Primary Job Location:

275 Oak Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg

Travel:

Regional and to neighboring countries, to visit customers as well as international to attend supplier training
