- Develop and manage the hotel's annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish revenue and expense targets.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and cost optimization.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other relevant financial analyses.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop pricing strategies and optimize revenue generation.
- Analyze market trends, competitive pricing, and demand patterns to recommend pricing adjustments and revenue enhancement opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards and corporate policies.
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance with local tax regulations, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Evaluate vendor contracts and negotiate favourable terms to optimise procurement processes and reduce costs.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to minimize inventory carrying costs and prevent losses.
- Assess the financial impact of capital expenditure projects and monitor their implementation and return on investment (ROI). The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA) may be preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director, Financial Controller, or in a similar senior financial management role within the hotel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and standards.
- Excellent understanding of revenue management principles and pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with hotel operations, industry trends, and market dynamics.
