Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for managing the Merebank mill inbound and outbound process for the engineering store and associated sub stores.

The role will also include managing the configuration and updates of both SAP material master and maintenance master data.

Education:

Matric
B-Tech degree/Diploma or Commercial degree in a Supply Chain related discipline
Minimum NQF level 6 with Engineering Stores experience will be considered

Licence:

Code 08 / EB license

Job Experience:

Min 5 years of experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment,
Must have supervisory or senior role experience with specific reference to the related leadership competencies within a manufacturing environment.
Materials Management experience specific to Engineering stores
Engineering acumen is advantageous

Key Performance Areas:

Management of inbound/outbound stock inventory for Merebank Mill
Managing and executing the materials requirements planning
Planning and coordinating stock requirements for planned shutdowns
Reconciliation of stock outs
Reconciliation of back orders [orders not meeting lead times)
Management of Material Scrapping
Management of Repairable Spares
Management of Safety Stats Archiving
Management of Technical Library
Management of Stock take activities
Management of Master Data Change
Material and Maintenance
Management of safety requirements for the department

Job Competencies/ Attributes/Skills:

SAP PM / MM
MS office package
Understanding Inventory Management Principles
Strong leadership skills providing direction to staff as well as customers
Knowledge of Asset management philosophies
Inventory Management, Reliability/Business Centered Maintenance, Total Production maintenance techniques
