We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven individual to join the team as a COO.

This integral role, reporting directly to the Managing Director, will oversee all operations in South Africa and Namibia, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and profitability.

You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and possess a wealth of knowledge within the courier/freight/logistics industry. With a track record of at least 10 years in operational management across a multi-branch operation. You should demonstrate exemplary leadership abilities, complemented by at least 3 years of experience on an Executive committee.

Skill requirements include the ability to interpret financial information, proficiency in MS Excel, and excellent delegation, negotiation, and communication skills at all levels.

Project management, strategic leadership, and the capability to manage, motivate and inspire staff are essential.

Responsibilities include managing and developing regional operations in service delivery, sales, strategy, and policy-making, ensuring an ambitious 'on time and in full delivery rate of 99%.

You will be charged with managing operational costs, overseeing budgets, optimizing tech use across branches, and achieving set cost-saving targets.

Manage the Owner Driver scheme and third parties to maximize cost-efficiency and profits while keeping branch activities, deviations, and problems under stringent control.

As the company's operational figurehead, you will mentor Branch Managers, ensuring excellent customer relations and high operational standards according to set KPIs.

A strong commitment to supporting the SHEQ department by maintaining Quality Operating Procedure compliance and coordinating Branch Audits is also crucial.
