Key Account Management Support

The KAM Support has a strong internal and external customer orientation and project management skills.

He*she is responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of processed sales orders by CPBC, issuing return authorizations, answering questions on products and/or services, and forwarding sales leads to the appropriate KAM and Export Manager.

Deals with all KAM and Export quotations submitted and ensure timeously completion, reporting and analysis of Quotations as required. Supporting in all internal sales tasks and activities in the area of the clientele served by Key Account Management / Export and distributors (e.g.

OMS, Supra), with the aim of actively supporting the field sales force and the interface areas (Marketing, ComEx, Services) in a way that promotes sales.

You will be part of the South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa Operations Team and report to the Operations Manager.


Your key responsibilities will be:

Custodian of all commercial engagements with key distributors defined key accounts and platinum PNP's.
First point of contact within business support for a defined KAM group to support in all internal processes.
Answers incoming phone calls from customers/stakeholders and perform duties including process sales orders, quotations, issue return authorizations, answer questions on products and/or services, research orders and other actions to resolve problems, and forward customer leads to the appropriate KAM
Ensures efficient and effective processes for sales order entry, return authorisations, credits, complaint handling, and other customer-service duties.
Carry out and ensure timely and appropriate processing of all tasks and activities in the day-to-day business.

Drive strong governance and compliance of processes within order management, contract & pricing, on-boarding new distributors and support marketing on product launches related to our Distributors.

Understanding of the Export Market's regulatory affairs to ensure the supply of Coloplast products for Distributors and clients in SSA Markets to warrant continued availability and growth of funding allocated to Coloplast

Ensure and maintain a good awareness of competitor activity within the industry and accounts, anticipating issues and opportunities, responding in a timely manner as required.

Project management of operational / regulatory track of setting up business in new countries
Engage with stakeholders in regulatory, production, supply chain, quality, and commercial departments to continuously improve efficiency of processes
Ensure a great working knowledge of the SA and SSA regulatory requirements from a tendering perspective
Leads collaboration with the Marketing, ComEx, and Sales teams in developing and implementing tender specifications to benefit Coloplast in SA and SSA
Support the Export Manager and KAM in building strong relationships with all tender administrators; clinical specialists and KOLs.
Leads Collaboration with the Marketing and Sales teams in developing and implementing tender specifications to benefit Coloplast in SSA
Handling of invitations to tender and requests for quotations
Daily tracking of all Quotations received and submitted.
Assist in processing incoming orders and returns in a timely manner.
Master data maintenance (local Item Master, Customer Master and Pricing)
Price clearing (systematic) according to the specifications of the SD of the BU in coordination with the KAMs, Marketing and ComEX
Direct support (customer advice) from logistics providers and hospital purchasing groups
Preparation and compilation of statistics and evaluations for key accounts, and the KAM
Processing of credit notes within the scope of system-related price differences or due to general requirements within the scope of master data maintenance


Professional qualifications:


We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded account manager with a proven track record of implementing local projects and export experience with high impact.

Office based role (JHB based)
Good customer and sales orientation (consultative salesperson)
Great presentation and strong project management skills across functions
excellent PowerBi, Excel and PPT compentences
B Comm Business Management/Financial Management or similar
3-5 years of related experience
History of consistently high performance and a proven track record of coordination ability, time management, budgeting, and attention to detail
Strong business acumen and commercial understanding
Ability to navigate and work with different global functions
Excellent numerical skills with an analytical approach to Marketing and the ability to construct fact-based recommendations and business cases
Strong communication and presentation skills in addition to the ability to engage with different cultures in the EM region
Good command of written and spoken English
