Description

Amazing K is a specialized remedial pre-school that offers a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children aged between 2 and 10 who require remedial support.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic psychology graduate who is passionate about special needs education to join our team.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our teaching team to provide support to our students, particularly those on the autism spectrum, by assisting with classroom management, lesson preparation, and student supervision.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in the field of special education and behavior interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the teaching team to support students in the classroom and implement various behavioral interventions, teaching techniques, and communication approaches to enhance their learning experience
Assist with lesson preparation and delivery, as well as student supervision and engagement
Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and other stakeholders
Support small groups with social, emotional, physical, and behavioral needs
Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment that is conducive to student success
Work alongside other teaching staff to ensure a productive and safe work environment is maintained
Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or branch manager

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applications from psychology graduates only
Prior experience with tutoring or Montessori is beneficial, but not required
A patient and understanding approach, with a passion for working with children with special needs
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and in a fastpaced environment
Some knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and an interest in learning more about the condition
Fluent in English
