    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Attendant to join our team on board an MSC Cruises vessel. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and enjoy their dining experience.

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Assisting with the service of all meals in the staff dining room;
    • Transporting used dishes from the staff dining room to the dishwash area and returning clean dishes to the dining room;
    • Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room and adjoining areas at all times;
    • Preparing the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day at specified times;
    • Offering a full dining room service for staff using guest menus, flatware, and napkins;
    • Transporting food prepared in the galley to the dining room quickly to ensure hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold;
    • Cleaning the dining room and serving area after each meal using the HACCP checklist to ensure the highest level of sanitation.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must have:

    • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a 5-star hotel or restaurant setting (excluding job training) or at least one completed satisfactory contract in a similar position on a cruise vessel;
    • A high school graduate;
    • A proven working knowledge of the operation of a high-volume, high-class restaurant;
    • An understanding of company sanitation protocols relating to food safety and cleaning sanitation in accommodation and food areas;
    • A good understanding of the correct use of cleaning chemicals in food areas;
    • A proven and demonstrated understanding of the 3-bucket system;
    • The ability to work efficiently at high speed in a partly unsupervised environment.

    Benefits
