    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed designs and plans for bulk water and sewer infrastructure projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop detailed designs and plans for bulk water and sewer infrastructure projects in Johannesburg.
    • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information needed for design work.
    • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure designs meet project requirements and deadlines.
    • Perform calculations and analysis to ensure designs are structurally sound and meet necessary regulations and standards.
    • Prepare drawings, specifications, and documentation for project bids, permits, and construction.
    • Review and approve project plans and designs created by junior engineers.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on bulk water and sewer infrastructure.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and regulations related to water and sewer infrastructure.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
