    Job Title: Senior Manager - Financial Services Insurance

    This senior manager role will oversee financial services insurance engagements, managing economics and communicating significant issues to partners and clients.

    The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of post-article audit experience in accounting or financial services, with a thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques, IFRS, and local GAAP.

    • Manage engagement economics and communicate significant issues, fees, and estimates to complete to partners and clients.
    • Assist partners with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships.
    • Understand our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients.
    • Build strong internal relationships within Assurance and across other services.
    • Execution of complex audit engagements, managing risk, and applying professional scepticism.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for:

    • Maximizing operational efficiency with a focus on key performance drivers and improving operating practices by leading the implementation of all new audit solutions and enablers.
    • Enhancing EY's brand positioning through strong external relationships across a network of existing and future clients.
    • Providing strategic and relevant insight, connectedness, and responsiveness to all clients that anticipates their needs.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • CA(SA)
    • Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques
    • Experience of the entire audit process
    • Familiarity with IFRS and local GAAP
    • Detailed understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies

    Salary: R1 200 000 - R1 800 000 per annum
