We are recruiting for a Chief Information Officer on a 5-year fixed term contract

Purpose of the job

To provide vision and strategic leadership for developing and implementing a digital strategy, together with its supporting information technology initiatives.
To provide expert technical ICT advice and skills to Council and the Executive Committee, as well as the organisation as a whole.

Qualifications and Experience

A Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Information Systems or an ITrelated MBA;
Ten (10) years of management experience in Information Technology, of which at least five (5) years should be at Senior Managerial, or Executive level;
Understanding and knowledge of corporate governance principles and legislation;
Indepth practical knowledge and understanding of the management of information systems and the IT environment;
Knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation, regulations, standards and policy requirements that drive the ICT sphere;
Experience gained in the regulatory environment and/or broad ICT sector will be an Advantage;
Deep expertise and proven track record in networks, infrastructure, cloud and cyber security monitoring tools and managing technical teams.
