Description

As a Bookkeeper at Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel you will support the day-to-day finance operations of recording, collecting, analysing and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records of the financial operations of the Hotel.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Record the daytoday financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Reconciling reports to thirdparty records such as bank statements
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger.
Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
Enter data (internal accounting databases and spreadsheets), maintain records and create reports

Requirements:

What You Bring:

A strong foundation in accounting principles and practices
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external partners.
High level of integrity and ethical conduct, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
