    Job Title: Lubricants & Specialities - Production Planner (LMP) in Durban

    Description:

    To ensure the efficient operation of the blending and filling operations, effectively planning and scheduling production orders to utilize available resources efficiently. Analyze and report on production planning activities against targets, driving initiatives for continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities:

    • Produce a credible workable plan to meet agreed service levels and optimize plant performance.
    • Identify, correct, and modify plans according to changing priorities, market demand, raw materials, blending constraints, resource, and manpower availabilities.
    • Schedule production orders considering plant requirements, such as capacities, batch sizes, and resource availability.
    • Agree production schedules with stakeholders, including the production team, inbound material planner, quality team, and dispatch team.
    • Attend daily production planning meetings to review performance and record issues affecting budgeted production targets.
    • Maintain accurate information in the system by updating relevant information in production orders and making it visible to stakeholders.
    • Provide capacity information to Ops Control to assist with budget planning and understand its impact on production schedule adherence.
    • Monitor and review adherence to standards in production routings and update MRP Master Data as required.
    • Participate in management issues related to process owners, such as SAP updates and projects within the PP Module.
    • Coordinate and manage 3rd Party Fillers (Subcontractors).
    • Ensure up-to-date KPIs, including in-transit, open purchase orders, interface results, and stock reconciliations.

    Requirements:

    • Tertiary qualification in Production Planning, Stock Management, or equivalent.
    • Postgraduate qualification in business or SAP PP Certification is advantageous.
    • 3-5 years of experience in the production environment of a Petroleum or Chemical Manufacturer.
    • Fully experienced in ERP manufacturing systems (MPS/MRP/BOMs/Routing/etc).
    • Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.

    Estimated Salary: R600,000 - R800,000 per annum
