Our client, a leading retailer and supplier of premier imported and local tiles, sanitaryware, bathroom accessories, bathroom furniture, taps and related products in the commercial market in South Africa and sub-Saharan South Africa are looking for strong sales agents to join their team in the commercial division.

The applicant must have an eye for visual creativity, be well spoken, results and target driven.


Responsibilities required but not limited to:

  • be involved in cold calling to solicit business through specifying the company's products with professionals in the construction industry.
  • Meeting with professionals [architects, quantity surveyors, interior designers and developers] at their offices and on site will be part of the service.
  • Monthly Sales targets will be set and needs to be met consistently
  • The agent will be required to work in a retail showroom one weekend per month.
  • Follow up on all leads and appointments
  • Sales admin duties
  • Own transport with valid driver's license

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Matric relevant
  • Must have experience in Business Acumen (good financial understanding of projects)
  • 35 years' experience in sales

Skills & Attributes:


  • Computer literate
  • SAP and Microsoft Office
  • An existing presence in the building industry will be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills must be able to communicate with decision makers
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to build and maintain business relationships
  • Good understanding of the Sales process and the ability to meet set monthly sales targets consistently
  • Professional presentation skills
  • A history of Excellent customer service is mandatory
  • A proven track sales record with regards to work on large commercial projects
  • Ability to meet set monthly sales targets consistently

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Salary:


  • Market related and negotiable based on experience
