    Head of Operational Finance

    About the Role

    The Head of Operational Finance will create the financial and operational strategy for all regions in collaboration with regional management, finance, and executive leadership. This includes providing leadership to regional finance and operational teams, researching and implementing cost improvements, strategically planning and allocating resources, ensuring compliance and managing regional financial support.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with leadership to co-create and implement the national financial and commercial strategy, ensuring strategic targets are met and aligned with growth objectives.
    2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee regional budgeting, consolidate inputs, and ensure alignment with economic indicators. Manage Capex budgets and project prioritization.
    3. Financial Reporting: Coordinate monthly financial closes, perform variance analysis, and manage audits. Ensure accurate accruals and timely reporting.
    4. Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to IFRS, tax laws, and internal controls. Manage Capex and procurement compliance.
    5. Returnable Packaging and Asset Management: Oversee pallet management, drive cost reductions, and ensure asset accuracy and stock compliance.
    6. Staff Leadership: Lead and develop dispersed teams, monitor performance, manage staff activities, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

    A relevant BCOM or CIMA qualification and 10 years' experience, including 5 at a senior level managing large teams. SAP experience is advantageous.

    Key Skills

    • Financial and operational acumen, leadership, analytical thinking, execution, change management.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic influencing skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and report writing.
