Key deliverables:

Supervision of Administrative Activities: Oversee and execute routine administrative tasks associated with data and payroll capture, leave management, benefit administration, and other payroll-related processes.

Process Monthly Payrolls: Handle monthly payrolls for all contract types, ensuring precise computation of hours payable, processing changes, and adhering to payment schedules.

Track and Report Employee Matters: Monitor and report on employee contract-related matters, including expiration dates, retirement dates, sick leave usage, and annual leave balances.

Monthly Reconciliation: Take accountability for the monthly reconciliation of all payroll accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Payroll Governance: Maintain effective payroll governance, implement essential procedures, and ensure adherence to regulations.

Reporting: Prepare various reports, including leave reports, Quarterly Employment Statistics, SARS filings, and Employment Equity reports.

Record Maintenance: Manage both paper and electronic employee records, including personnel files, organograms, appointments, terminations, and compensation schedules.

Documentation and Audits: Prepare all necessary documentation for audits, including UIF paperwork for terminations, maternity leave, and disability claims.

Error Identification and Reporting:Identify errors, report them, and raise concerns with the relevant managers to maintain accuracy in payroll processing.

Coaching and Training: Assist Junior Administrators, providing coaching, on-the-job training, and direction to ensure that standards are met.

Employee Support: Provide timely responses to employee inquiries on payroll, system access, benefits, leave, SARS, and relevant policies.


Requirements:


  • Diploma in Payroll, HR, or Finance
  • 5+ years full Payroll Working experience
  • Sage 300 Experience Nonnegotiable
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Payroll processing, deductions, and regulatory submissions knowledge
