Job Description:
Maintenance Technician
- Joined a seasoned team to grow your career at CHEP_
- The purpose of this position is to drive maintenance programs, Machine safety, to ensure the smooth, efficient operation of plant and machinery in accordance with Company and Government Regulations and set standards._
Responsibilities:
Supervising and motivating of subordinates
- Ensuring the plant is fully maintained to minimize plant downtime.
- Planning and executing preventative maintenance programs in respect of plant and property.
- Ensuring the OHS Act and Safety procedure are adequately maintained according to Company standards.
- Ensures that the general maintenance and repairs are completed timeously and in accordance to set procedures.
- Sourcing and requesting maintenance spares required for the workshop.
- Maintaining accurate reporting of production and stock, participating in regular audits
- Maintaining of highquality standards and procedures to meet customer satisfaction.
- Carries out all tasks as designated by his immediate line manager.
- Working across all cultures
- Working autonomously and having limited direct access to an immediate manager
- Extended plant operating hours shifts
- Operating in a highly unionized environment
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
Millwright
Desirable Qualifications:
Electrical with Mechanical and Robotics experience
Experience
People management in a unionized environment
PLC Maintenance
- Delta
- Allen Bradley
YASKAWA Robotics
Skills and Knowledge
Well-developed communication skills (verbal & written)
- A sense of urgency regarding work duties, regarding accuracy and detailed results
- Ability to work successfully in a matrix structure
- Display numeric skills and computer proficiency
- Supervisory skills with and knowledge of Industrial Relations
- A wellbalanced person who can focus and perform under pressure
Preferred Education
Technical/Professional Qualification - Electrical Engineering
Preferred Level of Work Experience
- 7 yearsNot Remote
