PURPOSE OF POSITION


The Data & Decision Science Product Specialist will be responsible for utilizing their technical skills to ensure excellent product delivery, through the support of development and documentation of products and solutions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become a technical product specialist on the following Solutions, Products and Platforms: Orpak VIT, NavMan Wireless, Orpak site controllers, eNhance and Enhance One controller, VR ATG, Fafnir ATG, Integrator Compact and DF360. Working knowledge all these Solutions, Products and Platforms will also be required.
  • Provide 3rd line infield and/or remote support to the technical, contractors, distributions and customer with full issue analytics, root cause analysis, resolution and documentation of any identified product technical issues.
  • External escalation of issues not within 1st or 2nd line support scope to technology partners with full management of resolution cycle and tracking of deployment of identified fixes.
  • Internal escalation and management of all exceptions, product issues, software bugs and other anomalies identified for resolution through the PPG/APD process.
  • Implement and track deployment of any identified infield hardware modifications and or software updates that need to be completed.
  • Develop and document standard works instructions for products and solutions.
  • Develop and document technical specifications and documentation for products and solutions.
  • Support the technical training specialist as a product specialist.
  • Keep up to date with and keep company up to date with technology partner new development and market space technological advancements.

Education/achievements**Post graduate diploma in electronics or higher tertiary qualification required.


Experience/Knowledge**- Technical skillset and good understanding of Vehicle technology and Electronic controls.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a good telephone manner,
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • A high level of technical ability and the ability to grasp new technologies and translate these technologies into written documentation.
  • Ability to comprehend processes, and logically solve problems, which may be identified.
