    External Sales Representative

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced External Sales Representative to join our team at RS Recruitment, assisting a leading Steel Fabrication Company in Pinetown, Durban.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of success in generating new business and maintaining existing customer accounts.

    About the Role

    • Maintain and develop the customer/client base
    • Generate new business, including cold calling, and maintain existing customer accounts
    • Find innovative ways to build the customer base
    • Meet clients on site and take accurate measurements required for fabrication
    • Attend to any queries and complaints from customers
    • Ensure Customer Satisfaction
    • Quote on a wide variety of steel fabricated products
    • Meet Sales Targets

    Requirements

    • Matric Certificate
    • Qualification in sales and marketing (advantage)
    • Drafting experience or ability to accurately measure clients' requirements on site (advantage)
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical/industrial engineering sales and marketing environment
    • Sales experience in steel fabricated products (domestic & industrial) such as steel gates, fencing, burglar guards, stairways, walkway structures, balustrades etc. (advantage)

    Key Skills

    • Proven sales track record and 'Hunter' sales profile
    • Computer literacy - MS Office (Word & Excel), email etiquette and numeracy skills
    • Valid unendorsed driver's license
    • Able to present a compelling sales proposition

    Remuneration

    • Negotiable basic salary, company cell phone, and fuel
    • Excellent commission scheme - 12% of gross margin
    • Includes company provident fund after three months
