Technician (Jewellery Workshop) Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Technician to join the Department of Jewellery Design and Manufacture at the Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the teaching and mentoring of students in jewellery design and manufacturing techniques.
• Contribute to the development of new jewellery designs and products.
• Maintain and upgrade workshop equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

• Nationally recognized Diploma or Degree in Jewellery Design or related field.
• Proven experience in jewellery design and manufacturing techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
