Camps Bay Village, part of our portfolio of Serviced Apartments, seeks a Residential Host to manage our self-catering apartments and maximise revenues and profits as set down in the company portfolio.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • Hospitality qualification (advantageous)
  • OPERA (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in the same / similar position
  • Familiar with the duties and procedures in selfcatering operations or Airbnb

Duties and responsibilities

Housekeeping

  • Ensure all apartments are prepared according to OPERA requests
  • Manage arrival and departures
  • Ensure daily allocations are completed
  • Ensure exit inspections are done when guests have departed, and any breakages and missing items are charged for accordingly
  • Manage apartment inventories
  • Residential standards maintained
  • Lost and found

Facilities

  • Property inspections all areas tidy (back and front of house)
  • Storekeeping
  • Identify, communicate and action any maintenance / facilities matters by observation and guest reviews
  • All matters arising that cannot be actioned, communicated to management

Communication

  • Ensure effective communication between operations and other departments
  • Ensure accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work
  • Attend management meetings as required

Guest Relations

  • Be readily available to deal with customer queries and complaints on WhatsApp and in person
  • Tend to and arrange for all guest needs
  • To monitor trends in the industry and make suggestions on how these could be implemented

Human Resources

  • Participate in progressive discipline
  • Roster policy adhered to
  • Familiar with local OHASA measures
  • Manage onsite IOD's
  • Carry out and manage regular onthejob training

Security

  • Conduct security walk around of entire property
  • Ensure lockdown is actioned accordingly
  • Complete incident reports for all guests and staff
