    Cybersecurity Director

    Key Responsibilities

    The Cybersecurity Director is responsible for leading and managing various teams within the cybersecurity department, including SOC, Endpoint Security Engineering, Firewall Management, Cloud Security, and Email Security.

    Team Leadership and Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage the aforementioned teams.

    Technical and Operational Oversight:

    • Oversee all operational divisions: SOC, Endpoint Security, Firewall Management, Cloud Security, and Email Security.
    • Ensure the architecture, deployment, operation, and management of all operational tools are efficient and effective.

    Research and Development of New Product Stacks and Services:

    • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging threats, and new technologies in the cybersecurity space.

    Innovation:

    • Cultivate a culture of innovation across all teams, encouraging out-of-the-box thinking and creative problem-solving.
    • Identify opportunities to apply cutting-edge technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and automation, to enhance security operations.

    Client Engagement:

    • Serve as a key point of contact for clients regarding security services, incident response, and reporting.

    Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational areas and processes.

    Incident Management:

    • Coordinate response efforts for security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and post-incident reviews.
    • Maintain and test incident response plans and playbooks.

    Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks).
    • Provide regular reports on security metrics, incidents, and operational performance.

    Key Requirements

    The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

    Education & Certifications:

    • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 8 years in information security, of which at least 5 years in managing Security Operations.
    • Strong background in managed security services, with a focus on delivering client-facing solutions.
    • 5 years experience managing security platforms such as SIEM, endpoint security, cloud security, and firewall technologies.
    • 5 years experience in researching, developing, and implementing innovative cybersecurity solutions.
    • 5 years experience in working with IT Security governance frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, CIS).

    Competencies:

    • Proven ability to lead and mentor diverse teams (SOC, Endpoint Security, Firewall, Cloud Security, Email Security).
    • Managing conflicts and promoting collaboration within and between teams.
    • Experience in setting goals, tracking progress, and conducting performance reviews.
    • In-depth knowledge of SOC operations, incident response, and threat management.
    • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint security solutions, firewalls, and cloud security technologies.
    • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in cybersecurity and automation tools.
    • Strong expertise in industry standards specifically ISO 27001 and CIS Benchmarks.
    • Ability to research, design, and implement new security services that align with company objectives.
    • Demonstrated success in streamlining workflows, reducing response times, and improving operational efficiency.
    • Strong awareness of cybersecurity trends and the ability to anticipate and mitigate future threats.
