Job Title:
Transportation Team Leader (Site and Yard Handling)

Key Responsibilities:

Site Offloading and Yard Supervision:

  • Take a hands-on approach to supervise on-site offloading and loading operations.
  • Ensure correct handling of goods to prevent damage and maintain quality standards.
  • Oversee yard activities, organizing and optimizing space for efficient operations.

Operational Leadership:


  • Lead and motivate a team of workers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure the team's productivity and adherence to schedules.
  • Take proactive measures to address any challenges or issues during offloading and loading processes.

Client Goods Delivery:


  • Ensure that client goods are delivered on time and in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline transportation processes and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns and provide exceptional service.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Enforce safety protocols and guidelines during offloading and loading operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions for the team.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven experience in transportation and logistics, with a focus on handson operational roles.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Work Conditions:


  • The role involves handson, sitebased activities, requiring physical presence during offloading and loading operations.
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate operational needs, including weekends if necessary.

Salary:
R11 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month

  • Cato Ridge, KwaZulu-Natal (required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Cato Ridge, KwaZulu-Natal: Relocate before starting work (required)
