    Introduction

    MHR is currently recruiting for a Clinical Risk Management Administrator position at a dynamic insurance company, specialising in professional medical indemnity cover .

    This is a Permanent full-time or part-time position (min 5-6 hours/day). You will be required to work remote & in-office, Cape Town

    The ideal candidate must have:

  • Clinical qualification, minimum nursing or pharmacy degree
  • Previous underwriting or clinical risk management experience preferred.
  • Research experience an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint

    Key Outputs

    JOB PURPOSE
  • To achieve the client's vision of being the leading provider of professional indemnity solutions through proactive clinical and practice risk management by ensuring relevant data collation and identification and management of high-risk practices and practitioners.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review individual policy applications and renewals in terms of underwriting risk within defined operational processes and procedures.
  • Identify policyholders at increased medicolegal risk via underwriting and claims management processes, as well as review of published materials.
  • Translate risks into policy terms and conditions, guided by actuarial pricing engine.
  • Engage policyholders and potential clients for purposes of understanding and addressing their risk profile.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the policy administration and client services teams.
  • Maintain and analyze research data
