    Data Engineer Role

    Job Description:

    Psybergate-pty-ltd is a leading IT company specializing in bespoke software solutions and skilled resources for clients. We require a Data Engineer to support our financial services client in Sandton, South Africa for a 12-month contract.

    Main Responsibilities

    We are seeking a highly skilled individual to enable the data lifecycle within Enterprise Data Services (EDS). Key responsibilities include integrating data between source systems and target databases, ensuring high-quality data through established frameworks and governance.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field;
    • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst;
    • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts is advantageous;
    • Proficiency in Ab Initio development, both on-premises and cloud-based;
    • Azure Cloud experience, particularly with Azure Data Factory, is desirable;
    • Agile working approach is essential.

    Key Skills

    The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including data engineering, data warehousing, and cloud computing. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are also required.

    Working Arrangements
