Description

Job DescriptionCoordinating compliance to prescribed processes, procedures and protocols within the framework of the Agricultural Product Standards Act.

Ensuring adequate competency levels within the Harmonization framework.

Inspection and certification of perishable products.

Inspection of the handling, storage and transport of perishable products.

Coordinating compliance to prescribed processes, procedures and protocols within the framework of the Perishable Products Export Control Board Act.

Ensure adherence to Service Level agreements.

Ensuring effective two-way communication internal and external.

Administrative tasks and reporting related to the execution of services.

Accept the responsibility of continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility according to the PPECB performance system.

Participating in the relief duty roster

Job Requirements
A National Diploma in agricultural, Food Science of Environmental health.
National Certificate Perishable Products Export Technologist would be advantageous.
Practical experience, theoretical knowledge and competence in Pome, stone fruit and Container Loading normal is a must.
Exposure and competency in citrus, berries will be an added advantage.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literate
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
A valid code 8 driving license with ability to drive and own reliable transport is a requirement for doing the job.
