    We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and sales driven Sales Area Manager to join our DSA team, to develop sales within our Gauteng area.

    In the role as Sales Area Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Business Development: Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our customer base within the allocated sales area. Continuously identify new business opportunities and potential clients in the commercial building services, municipal, and industrial sectors.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including trade customers, developers, consulting engineers, and contractors. Foster long-term partnerships through consistent communication, regular meetings, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Sales Strategy: Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to ensure our products and services remain competitive.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Accurately forecast sales volumes, track sales activities, and provide regular reports to the Sales Manager. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to achieve sales targets. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.
  • Product Knowledge and Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in the water pump trade industry. Maintain a deep understanding of our product offerings, their features, benefits, and applications. Be able to effectively communicate technical information to clients when required.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer support throughout the sales process. Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Sales performance analysis: Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Collaboration and coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and customer support to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and meet customer expectations.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales area budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective utilization of funds.
  • Competences & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the water pump trade industry or a related field. Experience working with developers, consulting engineers, and contractors is highly desirable.
  • Goal oriented and customer service oriented with good communication skills
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills and strategic thinking
  • Business ethics and transparency in teamwork
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans
  • Good IT skills, in particular MS Office and CRM software
