Role:
Business Continuity Planning Specialist
At Ventura Smiths we are a Management Consultancy who partners with our clients to deliver exciting and impactful strategic projects - rapidly delivering business value.
- We are starting one of these exciting Strategic Project in May 2024 to review and update their IT and Operational Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery frameworks and plans for one of our clients.
- We are seeking an Expert Business Continuity Manager/ Consultant to join our team for a period of 3months in support of this exciting project.
Project details:
- Location: Cape Town
- Hybrid: 4 days in office
- Rate: Senior (linked to experience)
- Project duration: 3 Months
Role description:
- Gap analysis between the current BCP and the revised BCP Strategy.
- Review existing BCP policy and update accordingly (based off any impacting standards or regulations).
- Develop a business continuity management Framework and implementation plan.
- Conduct a detailed Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and compile a detailed BIA report.
- Conduct Risk Assessments.
- Ensure the impact on Information Security Management Systems is highlighted for ISO 27001 compliance and aligned to the 2022 ISO 27001 requirements for Business Continuity Planning.
- Develop a Business Continuity Plan.
- Develop a Crisis Management and Communication Plans for each Business Continuity Plan.
- Recommend Business continuity Team Structures in line with current incident management.
- Develop flow charts showing the processes to activate the response structure.
- Review and update current existing Business Continuity Plans. Propose additional plans required.
- Initial walkthrough or testing of the BCP.
- Prepare a project close out report.
Experience Requirements:
- Evidence of BCP projects delivered (and references)
- Experience with implementing ISO and SOX projects is advantageous
- Experience working in an IT/Audit houses is advantageous
Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months
Salary:
R600,00 - R800,00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
