Description
Co-ordinate and administer the companys Health & Safety policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with responsible Managers, and other key staff to establish and maintain key Health, Safety and Environmental improvements within their areas of responsibility.
  • Support in the implementation of Risk/CoSHH assessments ensuring suitable and sufficient safe working instructions are determined and communicated as appropriate.
  • Support the implementation of health, safety and environmental training in respect of maintaining statutory levels of training and competence. Promote good safety, health and environmental practices by training and educating people and supporting managers and other key staff. Responsible for the delivery of health, safety and environmental training inhouse and arrangement of external training.
  • Carry out site audits ensuring compliance with all associated legislation and management system requirements. Ensure that any remedial recommendations are followed up.
  • Assist in the selection and deployment of suitable technologybased solutions to drive improvements in health, safety and environment for operations.
  • Participate and support in accident and incident investigations, ensuring the meeting of statutory reporting deadlines to HSE where applicable.
  • Provision of statistics, trend analysis etc. Develop and monitor SHE key performance indicators, providing management with statistical analysis and taking remedial action where necessary.
  • Liaise with company Occupational Health Provider; arrange health surveillance medicals and action findings.
  • Attend Safety Committees meetings.
  • Support the Company alcohol and drugs screening programme, including provision of contractor screening services, ensuring that absolute confidentiality and chain of custody requirements are met.
  • Provide Health, Safety and Environmental support to key projects.
  • Effectively communicate all relevant safety, health and environmental information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide general administrative support.
