    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our team in the commodities trading and mining industry. This role requires a seasoned professional with management experience, a strong analytical background, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively across various business groups.

    Salary:$80,000 - $110,000 per annum

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Risk Management: Develop, implement, and maintain risk management strategies and processes.
    • Accurately enter and monitor physical and derivative positions.
    • Calculate and run detailed risk reports to inform decision-making.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and generate reports.
    • Interpret and present complex risk data to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
    • Identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities through data analysis.

    Stakeholder Communication:

    • Effectively communicate complex ideas and findings to various groups within the business.
    • Collaborate with different departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of risk factors.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on risk analysis.

    Leadership and Management:

    • Lead and mentor a team of junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Oversee the daily operations of the risk management team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of risk management frameworks.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a risk management role, preferably within the commodities trading or mining industry.
    • Proven management experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
    • Extensive experience with Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key insights.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
