About the Voith Group

Voith Turbo South Africa is looking to employ a Spray Painter at Witfield, Boksburg Office to be responsible for the preparation, masking and de-masking, primer and topcoat painting of products brought into the workshop for repair, service and new assembly of both the rail couplers and other Voith products.

Requirements:

Painting trade with necessary proof documents (apprenticeship completed with 5 years post experience)
Painting trade with necessary proof documents (apprenticeship completed with 10 years post experience)
Minimum 5 years' experience in the either Painting workshop or paint plant spraypainting process
Involved in complex painting systems of high tolerance with regards to thicknesses and consistency diagnostics, maintenance, and certification
Practical knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following areas:
Air spray painting
Airless Spray painting
Rotary atomizing
Electrostatics spraying
Paint plant maintenance and care

Primary Duties

Paint rail couplers to customer and Voith rail specification

Quality Control

In process inspections (Paint thickness, Crosscut testing etc.)
Strip, Clean and Repair and Pack
Manage the paint booth, drying oven and related workshop equipment at a TPM level.
Customer Service
Administration i.e. complete job cards, inspection protocols, reports, etc
