What you'll bring:


At least 8 years of technical project management or solution delivery experience, delivering complex solutions to internal or external stakeholders.

An enthusiastic, positive and proactive attitude.

A strong delivery focus, coupled with the ability to manage timelines, identify and mitigate risks, proactively manage and track issues and dependencies, while interfacing with multiple internal and/or external teams.

Being able extract required outcomes to ensure overall delivery. Ability to balance tactical and strategic orientation, excellent communication skills and problem solving skills.


Requirements:


  • Strong project management and technology delivery experience
  • Understanding of full SDLC lifecycles
  • Understanding of multiple project methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban and hybrid models
  • High EQ and ability to lead and manage cross functional teams
  • Proven track record in delivering complex projects
  • Ability to put structure and plans in place, while still responding to changes where needed

Preferred requirements:

  • Technology or management degree preferred
  • 8+ years' experience in Project Management or Solution Delivery
  • Deep understanding of the bureau's technical landscape will be a benefit
  • Experience in solution architecture or system integration will be advantageous

The Delivery Manager (DM)

  • Able to articulate problems, bring the right people together to solve problems and know when the problem has been properly addressed and closed—all this with the proper sense of urgency that the problem requires.

  • The DM recognizes that a project / solution's success is directly related to satisfying the client / product owner; therefore, customer involvement is essential to ensure that the right product is built.
  • Communicates Project Status Upward and to the Customer / Product Owner.
  • No significant project status leaves the boundaries of the project without DM approval.

Promotes Good Working Relationships:

  • The DM serves as a role model in promoting good working relationships across multiple internal teams/departments and external teams which may include clients, partners and vendors.
  • DM's cultivate the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all of a project's stakeholders: its sponsors, those who will make use of the project's results, those who command the resources needed, and the project team members.

Enforces Effective Change Control:
The DM ensures that scope creep, communications, and quality are carefully managed.

Drives Decision-Making to Lowest Level Possible:
The DM drives ownership of decisions to the level where the accountability of the decision must lie.

A key result is that project members, with proper training and coaching, will almost always rise to the expectations placed on them.


Consensus and Contingency:
The DM routinely engages in building consensus, developing contingency planning and providing feedback

Applies Lessons Learned From Recent Projects:
The DM studies the lessons learned from prior projects and Sprints and applies the most important lessons to the new project / Sprint


Encourages and Supports Escalations:

  • Communicates to all concerned parties milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential customer/partner/vendor escalation issues.
  • Proactively follows escalation and change control processes.
  • Has overall ownership of all management reports on a given engagement.
