Responsibilities:
Strategic Contribution:
- Strategic shortterm insurance product development.
- Ground up product specification, development, documentation, testing to completed product implementation.
- Improve current product expansion, development to drive enhancements and efficiencies.
- Actively Identifying new beneficial product and system enhancements.
- Product backlog and high priority / high risk grooming.
- System setup Improvement by challenging the status quo across departments.
Return on Investment:
- Benefits to business. (Internal processing, enhanced product quality, etc.)
- Ensure developments focus on cost effective efficiency drivers.
Governance Process:
- Improve project tracking and reporting end to end.
Portfolio Management:
- Inclusion and contribution to company projects portfolio.
- Improvement to portfolio coordination via PM tools and techniques.
- Improve project processes via cross departmental engagement.
- Ensuring that product expansion and development is in line with business vision and mission.
- Owning product specification and system development in conjunction with the product owners.
- Driving Binder and Outsourced 3rdparty platform core product development & alignment to Western standards.
- Support data alignment between 3rd Party systems and Western data requirements.
Project Management:
- Skills Development (Personal)
- Regular administration and reporting tasks.
Resource Management:
- Increasing visibility on team tasks and work packages.
- Developing team performance (
Stakeholder Management:
Improve Overall Internal Stakeholder Satisfaction)
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Project Management background will be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the shortterm insurance industry and/or technical systems specialist background (Short term insurance system/platform provider)
- Knowledge of shortterm insurance products.
- Integral knowledge of the Tial system and/or any similar short term insurance administration platform.
