    Description

    The Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in the Integrated Customer Solutions group, leading the SE team to execute customer projects successfully.

    Responsible for Systems Engineering Management of customer contracts, ensuring timely delivery of contracted services and systems while supporting customers through system installation and acceptance on their platforms.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    1. Lead the Systems Engineering process for development and contractual projects within Saab Grintek Defence, maintaining a sound system baseline for assigned projects.
    • Define and allocate requirements, conduct functional analysis, and perform system synthesis.
    • Plan and manage technical development processes and monitor performance.
    • Collaborate with the Software Systems Engineer on software planning, defined interfaces, and software functional specifications.
    • Work with the System Verifier to oversee system verification and validation, including testing, and provide engineering support during customer installations and field tests.
    • Lead technical reviews, ensuring adherence to the formal system engineering process.
    • Participate in logistics engineering tasks/functions for assigned projects.

    Key Requirements:

    1. Coordinate system integration and test activities to achieve system qualification as required for the customer project.
    • Evaluate user requirements.
    • Ensure system installation on the platform.
    • Ensure functional and environmental acceptance.
    • Collaborate with customers on integration activities, test baselines, trials, and technical requirements.

    Your Profile:

    Specialist Knowledge:

    1. Familiarity with Systems Engineering Processes and Principles, including systems thinking, life cycles, modelling, and analysis.
    2. Knowledge of one or more military development processes (e.g., HW, SW, mechanical) and Project Management processes.
    3. Professional and Technical Competencies (see skills).
    4. Additional specialist knowledge: experience in defence EW environment, RF knowledge, Avicom, Model Based Systems Engineering.

    Experience:

    1. At least 6 years' experience in Systems Engineering, preferably executing customer projects.
    2. More than 5 years' experience in military system development and/or embedded systems.
    3. Competence and prior experience with DOORS.
    4. Generating and compiling specifications, user manuals, and test procedures.
    5. Systems Thinking, Life Cycles, Modelling, Analysis, Communication, Leadership, Negotiation, Coaching, Mentoring, Requirements Analysis, Systems Architecting, Integration, Verification, Validation, and Technical Project Management.

    Qualifications:

    1. BSc Engineering Degree, BTech, or similar tertiary qualification.
    2. System Engineering courses (e.g., Ad Sparrius, INCOSE CSEP).
