    Description

    Job Title: Civil Engineer

    We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our Mining Infrastructure Department in Johannesburg.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop conceptual layouts and detailed designs for mine infrastructure
    • Design bulk earthworks, terraces, and roads
    • Calculate hydrological runoff and model water balances
    • Design water management infrastructure, including dams and canals
    • Design mine waste disposal facilities and tailings facilities
    • Publish reports
    • Create tender documents, including scopes of work, specifications, and bills of quantities
    • Analyze, process, and interpret data
    • Conduct site visits and investigations, including geotechnical assessments

    Desired Experience and Qualifications

    • BEng. / BSc. Eng. in Civil Engineering or higher qualification
    • 3 to 5 years of experience
    • Strong understanding of soil mechanics principles
