    Description

    Our Client, a leading Global Tech firm, is looking for a Cyber Safety and Security Engineer to join their team in Rosebank on a contract basis, offering stability, growth, and an excellent working environment.

    The Manager, Security Platform Engineering, plays a crucial role in the Global Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CSIRT), responsible for managing a team of CSIRT Security Platform Engineers who detect and monitor threats affecting various technology domains. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, stays updated on new security tools and technologies, and focuses on operational excellence to foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Analyze information to identify security control gaps impacting the organization's security posture
    • Provide consultancy to internal customers on threats and vulnerability remediation
    • Priority on vulnerability results and provide remediation guidance
    • Lead security discussions in design and architecture reviews
    • Create documentation of findings and recommendations for vulnerabilities
    • Enhance controls in various compute environments and implement automation for security
    • Act as the interface between the local business unit and the global security team

    Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

    • Strong analytical skills and knowledge across security platforms
    • Deep understanding of infrastructure security architectures and vulnerabilities
    • Expertise in application security vulnerabilities and testing techniques
    • Skilled in Microsoft Security Stack and PowerShell scripting
    • Experience in Penetration Testing and security event simulations
    • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with non-technical stakeholders
    • Experience with Security frameworks like NIST
    • Strong postmortem analysis and project management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

    • Degree in IT/Computing
    • Relevant Networking and Security certifications

    Required Experience:

    • Proven experience in leading Security teams
    • Advanced experience in Security technologies such as Firewall, IDS, Proxy
    • Experience in technical support and troubleshooting
    • Knowledge in SOC/CSIRT Operations and security incident handling
    • Expertise in configuring and managing security controls
    • Experience in security architecture and engineering
