- Processing source documents supplied or downloaded electronically.
- Reviewing backups supplied and liaising with clients to ensure timely receipt of source documents.
- Recording all bank transactions, including petty cash where applicable.
- Reconciling bank accounts and Intercompany Loan accounts where necessary.
- Raising monthly accruals and processing Inventory Adjustments.
- Identifying and raising fixed assets, as well as disposing of them when necessary.
- Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register, including passing of depreciation.
- Reviewing debtors and creditors ageing for irregularities and querying when necessary.
- Verifying ISA payments and allocating correctly, raising interest provisions.
- Preparing Monthly Management Accounts and VAT reports for submission.
- Daily updating of WIP schedule on the system to ensure deadlines are met.
- Attending to individual clients requests where on-premises work is required.
- Preferred SAICA/ SAIPA accredited accounting bachelors degree with completion of Articles.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Excellent working knowledge of Xero, Pastel, and CaseWare Accounting software.
- Working knowledge of SARS Efiling and CIPC.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and self-managed with a strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-confident and inspires confidence in others.
