Job purpose


To enhance the company's Learning and Development experience through implementation of Learning and Development and Organisation Development initiatives and the digitisation of learning platforms.

Identify learning opportunities based on the skills analysis and skills matrix and provide input into all Learning and Development plans.

Provide project co-ordination and management of the OD initiatives and ad hoc support to the OD team. Act as liaison between service providers and stakeholders. Put interventions in place to improve the scorecard for the organisation.

Duties and responsibilities

Training Services Portfolio

  • Design and implement internal OD initiatives as required
  • Assist with supporting and encouraging digital learning within the company:
  • Where required, design and implement e-learning content as required by the business alongside service providers
  • Create video's, interactive material, story boards and voice over recordings for content in line with learning requirements where necessary with service providers
  • Implement an ROI model to measure the effectiveness of training interventions
  • Ensure effective open communication in the organization
  • Evaluate Facilitator competence and provide recommendations for new ways of working
  • Act as a change agent in periods of change to ensure continuity to operations
  • Develop innovative ideas leading to improved effectiveness and efficiency in the implementation of training programmes
Planning Training Interventions

  • Plan monthly training matrix
  • Ensure training quote requests are timeously submitted
  • Ensure all logistics for effective planning and delivery are in place
  • Where applicable, ensure travel and accommodation requests are submitted timeously, in order to secure best prices
  • Ensure adequate resource planning in order to timeously deliver on training
  • Attend and document all engagement sessions with client, with regards to planning
  • Maintain the Learning Management System and ensure content is updated, relevant and all information is accurate, including but not limited to:
  • Attendance registers
  • Learning database
  • Requesting and issuing of Learning certificates
  • Logistical arrangements for Learning and Development
Implementation of Training

  • Manage end to end training delivery
  • Ensure effective delivery of training
  • Ensure the Learning offerings are in alignment with Client requirements
  • Ensure all training records are accurately captured and stored
  • Support the OD Manager with execution of project related training initiatives and accurate reporting thereof
  • Conduct Facilitation, moderation, assessments as and when required
Programme Management

  • Manage the endtoend Learnerships
  • Manage the endtoend Internships
  • Assist with the management and execution of the Graduate Programme
  • Assist with the management of Bursaries/Study Assistance
  • Assist with the rollout and implementation of Projects
  • LMS Management for Training and Projects
  • Relationship Management with Clients and Service Providers
  • Assist with the population and submission of the WSP/ATR by completing an annual Skills Matrix
Quality Assurance

  • Complete, monitor and track progress against the monthly Learning matrix, providing remedial action where necessary.
  • Ensure all Learning and Development processes are adhered to
  • Monitor Learning programs implemented according to the Growthpoint OD strategy
  • Ensure all assessments and moderations are conducted in accordance with requirements of governing bodies and OD Department standards
  • Participate in the Annual Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey and annual values assessment survey for the Learning and Development submit data to the OD Manager
Governance

  • Update and maintain the Learning and Development Risk Register
  • Ensure all Learning and Development requirements of governing and regulatory bodies are adhered to
  • Ensure service providers meet the BBEEE requirements
  • Ensure the implementation of processes and procedures required to comply with relevant audit requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
  • Monitor standards for Learning and Development in alignment with legislative and company requirements
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and practices
  • Comply with legislation regarding the safekeeping of all training documentation (POPI Act)
  • Ensure professional image in accordance with OD standards
  • Action and follow up on the remedial actions agreed upon within internal and/or external audit reports
  • Keep abreast of quality management best practice in Learning and Development.
  • Embed new processes and procedures as they occur
  • Ensure concerns are escalated to the appropriate channels when required
  • Comply with legislation regarding Health and Safety
  • Ensure expense and travel claims are submitted timeously, with the correct information and supporting documentation
Reporting

  • Ensure timeous and accurate reporting on training interventions
