    Regional Financial Manager - Inland North and West

    The Role

    We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Financial Manager to lead our team in the Inland North and West region.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide effective leadership and management to the team, ensuring the achievement of regional goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement operational financial plans for the region, coaching and inspiring subordinates to achieve their targets.
    • Oversee the accurate completion of work by due dates, building solid relationships with team members and promoting a positive work culture.
    • Develop and track progress against regional targets, implementing improvements as necessary.
    • Achieve planned profitability and growth strategies for the region, ensuring effective implementation of financial controls.

    Accounting and Reporting

    • Lead the completion of month-end and annual financial statements, overseeing the preparation and analysis of monthly balance sheets and cash flow statements.
    • Propose and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

    Stock Control Management

    • Drive value from the Information System (Kerridge) for the business, continuously reviewing, improving, streamlining and auditing business financial and technology processes.
    • Provide input into stock planning cycles, offering ad-hoc analysis to support commercial decisions.

    Credit and Risk Management

    • Ensure adherence to the corporate credit management strategy and policy, identifying and managing risks effectively.

    Reporting and Analysis

    • Research best practice, local conditions, trends and competitor activity, developing and analysing multiple reports to inform divisional activities.

    Administrative Processes

    • Design, analyse and document workflow, making recommendations to positively impact operational effectiveness.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Minimum B Comm Accounting degree or higher financial qualification
    • Relevant Honours Degree or equivalent
    • Preferably CA (SA)
    • 7 years' experience in a retail or commercial/FMCG environment in a senior financial management role
