Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues (full HR value chain) to meet the strategic objectives within a designated business area.
Amongst other things, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:- Proactively consult with business and recommend HR strategic solutions to improve critical business outcomes.
- Proactively communicate business needs with the HR department and business management in order to develop and implement integrated solutions.
- Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver valueadded service to management and employees that reflects business and organisational objectives.
- Serve as a consultant and adviser to business unit leaders in the effective management workforce.
- Develop, communicate and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all areas of business.
- Communicate and review defined HR Metrics within the assigned business driving to improve results.
- Actively participant and provide feedback and suggestions to various changes to HR Policies and effectively communicate with business leaders to ensure compliance.
- Assists line managers in implementing ongoing performance metrics and development actions for the organization.
- Collaborates with leadership and the Talent Management team to create and implement programs to attract, motivate and retain talented and diverse employees.
- Reviews exit interview reports and turnover reports monthly for business support and follows up as appropriate.
- Analyses retention issues and make suitable recommendations regarding training, benefits, compensation, etc.
- Demonstrates strong facilitation skills in investigating, analysing, and solving a myriad of complex employee relation issues in conjunction with the Employee Relations Specialist.
- Provides guidance to support Business Managers on a wide variety of employee relations issues.

Qualifications:
Education and competencies
- Appropriate B degree or equivalent (inclusive of HR and labour law).
- Minimum of 5 years relevant HR experience as an HR Generalist within automotive and or manufacturing environment.
- Business acumen (Knowledge and understanding of organization system, culture, procedure as well as external and internal business demands).
- HR Technical competence.
- Sound knowledge of SA Labour legislation impacting on HR.
- Sound knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
- Interpersonal skills (Relate well to all levels of people internally and externally).
- Planning, organising and coordinating skills.
- Communication and problemsolving skills.
- Assertiveness.
- Business consulting, negotiation and partnering.
- Knowledge of HR Systems.
- Experience in Employee Relations matters.
