    Description

    Human Resource Specialist

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement Human Resources Management strategic plans.
    • Implement social and labour plans, translating legislative changes into relevant HR policies and practices.
    • Maintain in-depth understanding of relevant HR legislation, ensuring compliance with Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, BBBEE Act, Skills Development Act, and MIBCO Main Agreement.
    • Design and develop interventions to support the implementation of the EE strategy, manage its implementation, and ensure compliance.
    • Participate in equity-related processes, coordinate EE and Training Committee meetings, and consult with stakeholders.
    • Create awareness of BBBEE within the organization, monitor labour statistics trends, and provide advice to line management.
    • Compile and place job adverts, shortlist candidates, and conduct recruitment interviews.
    • Ensure candidate verification, make formal employment offers, and handle exit interviews.
    • Monitor IR process application, advise on substantive employment conditions, and facilitate external IR processes.
    • Represent management in consultations, facilitate dispute resolution, and coordinate communication with unions and shop stewards.
    • Manage national annual wage negotiations and stay up-to-date with IR developments, trends, and court judgements.
    • Instill a performance management culture, evaluate HR systems, and establish new system requirements.
    • Comply with HR quality systems, develop internal communication programs, design team process interventions, and facilitate change management initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 School Leaving Certificate.
    • Bachelor's Degree or BTech in Human Sciences, Human Resources Management, or Industrial/Organisational Psychology.
    • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in IR/Labour Law.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
