    The Portfolio Manager: IAM is responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems capabilities for Vodacom while ensuring it continues to support and align to our digital business objectives.
    This role takes accountability for guidance, oversight, and delivery of all strategic initiatives for Identity and Access Management (IAM) - you will work with business and technology stakeholders to assess, design, and implement stainable solutions, operating processes and people models to address key and evolving risks in the field of identity governance and access management.
    The role is also a senior people leader for the three functional areas that constitutes the IAM space: IAM Operations management, IAM Application management and IAM Governance, Security and Compliance (GSC).

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Policy Development: Formulate and enforce strategic policies for IAM, aligning access controls with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Holistic Access Control Framework: Establish and maintain a comprehensive access control framework, integrating role-based access, biometrics, and cutting-edge authentication methods to ensure a holistic security approach
  • Compliance Management: Strategically manage IAM practices to comply with industry regulations and internal policies, minimizing legal and regulatory risks.
  • Collaborative Security Integration: Strategically collaborate with IT and security teams to seamlessly integrate IAM processes into the broader security framework, ensuring a cohesive and coordinated response to security incidents and vulnerabilities.Manage the operations team to ensure the Identity and Access Management (IAM) service level agreements between the vendor and customers is maintained.Manage the application management team to ensure new products and services within the application team is in line with customer requirements.Ensure effective people management and leadership is consistently maintained within the department.Ensure solutions and environment is maintained and managed within allocated budget.
  • The Ideal candiddate for this role will have:

    Must have technical/professional qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
  • 3 year degree or diploma in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field .
  • 8+ years of Telecommunication knowledge & overall IT Experience is essential
  • Preferred ITIL certification
  • Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Solid background and experience in a Service Delivery, Service Management or Service Operations role, in an IT or application operations environment.
  • Strong relationship building, persuasion, and collaboration skills within a team.
  • Ability to management staff, budget and delivery
  • Strong service management skills within IT operations
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience of managing an IAM environment
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years management experience with a focus on people management and budgets
  • Proven experience in leading incident, problem and change management functions.
  • Experienced in SLA management, service reviews and reporting.
  • Experienced in identifying and evaluating problem areas and recommending or designing solutions or process improvements.
  • Must have knowledge in access management and authorisation concepts
