    Role Overview

    This role focuses on individuals with military experience interested in working in the private sector. Amazon's military recruiting team is available to discuss the many opportunities within Amazon Operations.

    About the Role

    As a graduate Area/Shift Manager, you'll gain experience leading a large and diverse team to ensure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. You'll learn about the complexity of operations at a global business and what it takes to make everything run seamlessly.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
    • Analyse and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are at consistently high levels
    • Support and lead a team, handle administrative work, and build a strong team culture
    • Analyse performance and suggest process improvements to optimise work and improve customer service
    • Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes

    A Day in the Life

    You'll work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You'll also monitor and maintain process efficiency.

    Operations sits at the heart of the Amazon customer experience. We look after everything from the moment a customer clicks buy to the moment their item is delivered – from desktop to doorstep. We put safety first as our people are our priority.

    Teams Within Operations

    • The Customer Fulfilment (CF) team helps customers get products at the speed we're known for
    • Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) helps Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency
    • Amazon Logistics handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (or working towards a bachelor's degree)
    • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English
    • Relevant experience in performing data analysis

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
    • Experience in a logistical working environment
    • Experience working with the MS Office suite
