    Production Operations Leader

    Location: South Africa

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    As a key member of our team, the Production Operations Leader will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and fostering a culture of excellence within our manufacturing environment.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with team members to establish and implement objectives, strategies, and performance metrics that align with our commitment to safety, quality, and operational effectiveness.
    • Cultivate a culture of employee engagement and ownership by promoting active participation in continuous improvement initiatives and workforce development.
    • Utilize Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies to drive comprehensive improvement processes that enhance productivity, safety, and quality.
    • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to ensure timely and quality production that meets customer demands and specifications.

    CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related discipline.
    • Proven experience in production and operations leadership within a manufacturing setting.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams and manage both direct and indirect reports.
    • Strong project management skills with a focus on achieving goals through effective resource management.
    • Knowledge of safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance standards.
    • Familiarity with TPM environments is preferred.
    • Proficient in ERP systems, with SAP experience being advantageous.
    • Background in the food or pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors is a plus.
    • Understanding of FDA and GMP regulations is preferred.
    • Ability to influence and drive change initiatives effectively.
    • Knowledge of innovation strategies and product lifecycle management.
    • Passion for mentoring and developing team members.
