Our client is looking for a Sales Manager - Export Africa to join their team.


Responsibilities:


  • Promote, maintain and increase Export sales of the client's full equipment basket for retail, industry and logistics inclusive of software and services in the region.
  • Development of new business models for each region e.g. by execution of market research, identifying new potential customers, partners and markets as adapted from the global and local sales strategies for all sales divisions.
  • Developing the sales and marketing plan of channel partners in each region, which may include training and managing of specialised sales staff in joint ventures.
  • Coordinate with all involved stakeholders to deliver on customer's requirements and improve customer's satisfaction.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with Regional Key Accounts and Channel Partners, becoming point of contact and trusted advisor and build an indepth understanding of customer needs.
  • Report on sales and forecast for the territory & segment to the MD Sub-Saharan Africa (South Africa), and corresponding stakeholders at Head Office (Germany).
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge to answer questions and provide solutions.
  • Preparation and execution of market launches and product promotions.
  • Build own Sales pipeline and maintain CRM System.

Key Skills:


  • A proven track record of Key Account and Channel Partner Management in Africa to clearly articulate / demonstrate accomplishments of year over year revenue growth.
  • Ability to independently execute & manage multiple regional strategies & key projects to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Possess intricate knowledge of the business landscape in Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on Central, West and East Africa and have deep insights into the main countries' Retail, FMCG manufacturing and logistics sector.
  • Ability to travel in Africa and remote locations as required by role (up to 75% of the time).
  • Strong working knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills as required by a professional business environment of a global market leading company.
  • Experience in SAP B1 software & CRM Programs a benefit but not required.
  • Full proficient English language is a nonnegotiable. Knowledge of French, German and local languages even better but not required.
  • Customer service & people centric personality type with hunger for creating success.
