Description

Drafting and Design:

Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and systems using AutoCAD.
Develop accurate and comprehensive technical drawings, ensuring alignment with project specifications.

3D Modeling:

Proficiently use AutoCAD for 3D modeling to represent complex mechanical structures and assemblies.
Collaborate with engineers to transform conceptual designs into detailed 3D models.

Detailing and Annotation:

Provide detailed annotations, dimensions, and specifications on both 2D drawings and 3D models.
Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and comply with industry standards.

4.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers and other team members to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to design optimization.

5.

Revision Management:

Maintain and update drawings to reflect design changes and revisions.
Keep accurate records of version control for all drawings and models.

6.

Quality Control:

Conduct thorough reviews of own work to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies.
Assist in quality assurance processes to ensure highquality design outputs.

7.

Documentation:

Generate and maintain documentation related to mechanical drawings, including design specifications and material lists.
Prepare clear and concise documentation for internal and external communication.
Prepare bill of materials and orders for purchasing of components to fabricate finished product.

Requirements:

Qualification in Mechanical Drafting, CAD Design, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsman with expertise in both 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor.
Proficient in creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models for mechanical components.
Familiarity with other CAD software.
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in drafting
